University Squash Club (USC-Recreational)

The University Squash Club is comprised of a group of McGill students, staff, alumni and members of the Montreal community with the objective of encouraging people to play squash at the recreational level. There are a variety of tournaments organized by the USC including ladders, round robins and various fun tournaments throughout the year. For those players looking for a more competitive setting, the USC sponsors up to four interclub teams in the Montreal Squash League. These teams compete weekly against teams from other squash clubs in the Montreal area.

CLUB NIGHT

The USC hosts a variety of activities. It operates actively from September to April. A couple of times per semester, there is a social evening, known as Club Night. This consists of round-robin play from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., followed by a meal, refreshments, announcements, and prizes. The round-robin is an excellent opportunity to play against people of different calibres. Following this, a small meal is served in Tomlinson Hall. Club Nights are a very sociable aspect of the club where members take the opportunity to schedule all of their squash games until the next Club Night.

The first Club Night of the season will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. at the squash courts.

MEMBERSHIP

In addition to participating in the Club Nights, the $50.00 membership (September to April) includes the ability to play on the Club’s ladders and internally organized tournaments. Please note that non-McGill students are required to purchase a Sports Complex membership in order to participate with the USC.
