Memberships

Are Day Passes available for non-members?

Day passes can be purchased by individuals accompanied by a Macdonald Sports Complex member.

How can I pay for my membership?

Memberships can be purchased through On-Line Services (credit card only) or in-person (cash, cheque, debit, Visa or Mastercard) at the Stewart Athletic Complex. Non-McGill members must request on-line credentials before accessing On-Line Services. Please note that not all membership types can be purchased on-line.

Are McGill students considered members during the summer?

Through the spring and summer months (May 1 through August 31), full-time McGill students must purchase a summer membership in order to gain access to the Sports Complex. To be eligible for the summer rate, students must have been registered full-time at McGill through the previous semester.

What do I do if I have lost or forgotten my membership card or McGill ID card?

One-time entry can be gained by reciting your student or staff number to the Front Desk. After the initial reprieve, any lost card must be replaced. McGill students and staff should replace their University-issued I.D. cards through the procedures outlined by the University.

Can I suspend my membership?

Request to suspend a membership will be accepted on a case by case basis only.

Can I bring a guest?

Members can purchase a day pass for $8.00/$10.00 for their guest.(McGillian/Community)

How do I gain access to the Macdonald Athletics & Recreation Sports

Access is limited to Sports Complex members.McGill students who have paid the Athletics and Recreation fee as part of their tuition are automatically considered members. McGill staff, faculty, alumni, John Abbott College staff and students and the community-at-large must purchase a membership.

Are children welcome?

Children under 15 years of age are not permitted in the Stewart Sports Complex.

Is the facility open on holidays?

The Sports Complex is closed on most official holidays as well as select days surrounding the holidays. Check our Facilities pages and the home page of this website for any changes to our schedule.

Can I get a refund on my membership?

Refunds must be requested in person at the Stewart Athletic Complex and will prorated based on the monthly membership rate.

What are the hours of operation?

Check the Hours of Operation page for the latest information on facility hours. Please note that activities end 15 minutes before the facility closes. Updated facility schedules are available on the Facilities pages of this website.

Online Services

Do I need to enter my billing address on the payment screen?

Leave the default option "Use this Address". Updates to your address should be done through Minerva, not here.

Why am I having trouble logging in?

There are two distinct log ins. One for McGill staff and students and one for Community and McGill Alumni members (non-McGill students and staff). Please make sure you clicked the right link to access the site. The McGill link is set up to accept the McGill log in and password through McGill Minerva.  Please don't try to re-set your user name or password or try to log in any other way than through McGill's own standard sign-in process (the same way that you sign into Minerva).Newly admitted McGill students will only acquire log in rights two weeks before the official start of classes. The Community and Alumni link requires Sports Complex members to request log on credentials through the Mac Athletics & Recreation office (514-398-7789).

How do I change my personal information?

Update your personal information through Minerva and not through this site.

My credit card is not being accepted? What should I do?

Enter your credit card number as one long number with no spaces. If you still have trouble, contact your bank to verify that your card is active.

How do I verify that my on-line transactions were recorded?

On the opening page after you log in, click on Account Information/Lockers followed by Reservation Report.

How do I print a copy of a receipt?

On the opening page after you log in, click on Account Information/Lockers followed by Account Summary. Scroll down for a list of all your recent transactions. Click on the highlighted text and then the printer icon in the upper right corner beside the shopping cart icon.

Can I rent a locker to store my stuff during the school year?

Yes, lockers can be rented at a cost of $20.00 per semester. Payment can be made through Online Services or at the Mac Athletics office. The lockers are located in the basement hallway of the Stewart Athletic Complex.

What if I forget to clean out my locker after my rental contract has expired?

All items left in expired lockers will be removed and held for three weeks, after which they will be disposed of or donated to charity.

Do I have to rent a locker?

Day lockers are located in the changing rooms and are free by using your own lock. All locks must be removed by the end of day. Semester lockers are located in the basement hallway of the Stewart Athletic Complex and must be locked at all times. Do you supply locks?

No, locks are not provided. You may bring your own or purchase one at the Client Experience Office located at the entrance of the McGill Sports Complex, to the left of the main desk.
