Gault Nature Reserve

Self-Guided Nature Walks

McGill University’s Gault Nature Reserve is located on Mont-Saint-Hilaire and protects more than 1,000 hectares of natural habitats, boasts 25 kilometres of trail network and is open 365 days a year for all visitors to enjoy.

Affiliated with the Faculty of Science, the Gault Nature Reserve’s team is dedicated to offering support for natural science research and teaching, which has been at the heart of the Reserve’s activities for decades.

Situated near the Gault Nature Reserve in Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Les vergers François Juneau offers visitors a variety of locally grown, succulent apples for everyone to enjoy. Pick your apples, walk around the grounds and take in the fresh air.

  • Bring a bag or backpack to carry around your personal items. There is no storage area onsite.
  • Bring a lunch, snacks, water and a refillable bottle. There is no cafeteria onsite.
  • Since trips will take place rain or shine, please dress appropriately for the weather.
