7-week program

Ballet barre is a regime of basic ballet movements, Pilates, strength, and flexibility - based on the regiment professional dancers do daily. No previous dance experience required.

Taking elements from dance, yoga and pilates, barre fitness is a group workout class that focuses on postural alignment and the strengthening of the lower limbs through isometric and eccentric contractions. Pilates teaches body mechanics, balance, co ordination, positioning of the body, spatial awareness, strength, and flexibility. Participants exercise on a floor mat in a slow and controlled manner working to develop good posture and body alignment.
